About Us

The Fraternal Order of Police King-Hubbard Lodge No. 10 is deeply rooted in service—to both law enforcement professionals and the Tuscaloosa community we proudly call home. Through ongoing fundraising and outreach efforts, our lodge supports a wide range of local charities and initiatives that provide real help to families in need. From offering assistance during difficult times to supporting children and youth programs, every effort reflects our belief in community, compassion, and connection.

We also stand behind the men and women who serve our community each day, advocating for improved benefits, resources, and wellness programs that help them manage the unique challenges of law enforcement. Our mission extends beyond individual support—it’s about building bridges of unity and cooperation among agencies, organizations, and neighbors across Alabama.

Our lodge serves as a communal space for fellowship, strategy, and service. It’s where ideas take shape, relationships strengthen, and partnerships form to keep Tuscaloosa safe and thriving. Together, we’re committed to fostering a safer, more supportive environment for all—because when we serve each other, everyone benefits.

Community Policing in Action

At the King Hubbard Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #10, we take pride in being part of a community where service still means something — and where leadership starts with example. Our president, Deputy Chief Severn “Sebo” Sanders, has dedicated nearly three decades to building bridges between law enforcement and the people of Tuscaloosa.

Under his leadership, community policing isn’t just a phrase — it’s a daily commitment. From his role in launching Project Unity to his ongoing outreach through local schools, churches, and youth programs, Deputy Chief Sanders has made it his mission to strengthen trust, restore connection, and keep Tuscaloosa a city where neighbors still know each other by name.

Through initiatives like the Police Athletic League (PAL) and the annual Shop with a Cop holiday project, our lodge works hand-in-hand with local officers to support underprivileged children, families in need, and community spaces that bring people together. Whether it’s rebuilding historic basketball courts, delivering Christmas gifts to local families, or mentoring the next generation, we believe true policing begins with compassion.

As Deputy Chief Sanders often says, “We have trust in law enforcement and trust within the community itself—and that’s what real progress looks like.”

At FOP Lodge #10, we’re proud to live out those words every day. Our mission is simple: to serve, protect, and uplift the community we call home
